President Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation headed by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria Plamen Oresharski, which is on an official visit to our country.
First, President of the Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria Plamen Oresharski had a one-on-one meeting.
The sides expressed satisfaction with the development of bilateral and multilateral relations between our countries, stressed the importance of expanding partnerships in various areas, including in the energy sector, and exchanged views on issues relating to prospects of cooperation.
Then the meeting continued with the participation of delegations.
Stressing that political relations between Azerbaijan and Bulgaria are satisfactory, President Ilham Aliyev said that there is good potential for expanding cooperation in the economic sphere.
Referring to the signing of important documents on cooperation in the energy sector during the last visit of Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria Plamen Oresharski to Azerbaijan, the head of state expressed his satisfaction with the start of joint operations in Azerbaijan and Bulgaria as partner countries in the implementation of a major regional infrastructure project. Noting the importance of the joint project, President Ilham Aliyev said that it creates good opportunities for expanding ties in the fields of energy, investment, business, creation of joint production sites, tourism, agriculture, etc. Inviting Bulgarian companies to participate in ongoing projects in our country, the head of state said that Azerbaijan is also interested in activities in Bulgaria as a partner and investor. He stressed the importance of political relations in expanding cooperation in the economic sphere.
President Ilham Aliyev expressed the hope that during his visit to Azerbaijan, Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria Plamen Oresharski would hold fruitful talks on cooperation in various fields.
Thanking our state for the warm hospitality, Bulgarian Prime Minister Plamen Oresharski expressed satisfaction with the fact that during the visit he once again witnessed the friendly attitude of the Azerbaijani people to the Bulgarian people. The Bulgarian prime minister stressed the high level of political relations between Bulgaria and Azerbaijan. Noting that cooperation between our two countries in the energy sector is developing successfully, the Bulgarian prime minister focused on broad opportunities available in the rapidly developing Azerbaijan for cooperation in the fields of transport, chemistry, education, culture and other areas.
