A document signing ceremony took place between President Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Istanbul.
President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic Rovnag Abdullayev and Botas general manager Fazil Senel signed a “Memorandum of understanding on terms and mechanisms for the sale and transit of natural gas between SOCAR and BOTAS”.
Azerbaijani Minister of Industry and Energy Natiq Aliyev and Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Taner Yildiz signed a “Memorandum of understanding on sale and transit of natural gas between Azerbaijan Ministry of Industry and Energy and Turkish Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources” and a “Declaration on sale and transit of Azerbaijani gas through Turkey”.
