President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received a delegation led by Executive Vice-President of Development and Production International at Statoil Lars Christian Bacher.
The head of state hailed Azerbaijan's long-term successful cooperation with Statoil and recalled with pleasure his meeting with the company's Chief Executive Officer Eldar Saetre in Davos.
Underlining the importance of the 24th International Caspian Oil and Gas Exhibition to be held in Baku, President Ilham Aliyev hailed Statoil's traditional participation in the exhibition.
Statoil's Executive Vice-President of Development and Production International Lars Christian Bacher congratulated the head of state on the occasion of Republic Day. Noting the importance of the International Caspian Oil and Gas Exhibition to be held in Baku, Lars Christian Bacher said that the company's delegation is looking forward to participating in the event. Praising the successful cooperation between Statoil and SOCAR, Lars Christian Bacher hailed the company's involvement in Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli project.
They also exchanged views on prospects for Azerbaijan-Statoil cooperation.
