I would like to welcome wholeheartedly the participants of the 9th Gabala International Music Festival, wish the Festival success and extend my best wishes to each of you. Contributing to the dialogue between civilizations throughout the centuries, Azerbaijan has been historically active in fostering the unity between the peoples. Each project that helps to increase the effectiveness of cultural and spiritual integration is very valuable for us. The international events held in our country in recent years bring together representatives of all nations regardless of their language, religion and ethnic background, reaffirming Azerbaijan`s commitment to such fundamental principles as peace and humanity.

We are proud to see the increasing popularity of the Gabala International Music Festival which is recognized as an important event contributing broadly to the intercultural dialogue. This celebration of friendship and music attended by many musicians from different countries shows that Azerbaijan is not only known as one of best models of multiculturalism and tolerance in the world, but also contributes to the strengthening of intercivilizational dialogue through paving the way for communication and collaboration between musicians from different countries.
