Following the republican conference dedicated to the Day of Azerbaijani Youth at Baku Convention Center, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and first lady Mehriban Aliyeva have met with Sabir and Umud Shirinov brothers, the Azerbaijanis living in Ukraine.
The head of state awarded them “For Bravery” medal for their personal courage while saving the lives of people in danger.
Welcoming the Shirinov brothers, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said:
- Welcome to the Motherland! Congratulations! You have shown great courage and saved people who were in a helpless state. You put your own lives at risk. This has had a serious resonance. Of course, your heroism serves to create a more complete picture of the Azerbaijani people. You adequately represented our people. I have invited you to present a state award, the medal "For Bravery", to you.
President Ilham Aliyev then presented medals to the brothers.
