Ilham Aliyev signed a Decree on pardoning 92 prisoners

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on December 26, 2011, on granting pardons to 92 prisoners.

According to the decree, 75 convicted prisoners were exempted from serving the remainder of their pending sentences, 1 person was freed from conditional sentence, 2 people from reformatory punishment, and 14 people from paying fines.

The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan expressed confidence that the pardoned individuals will learn a lesson from this humanist act and will comply with the laws of Azerbaijan unflinchingly. The text of the decree will be published in the local press.
