First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva has donated her annual salary into the Fund to Support Fight Against Coronavirus.

First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva's address says:

“Dear compatriots!

I express my deep gratitude to all the organizations, companies, individuals and legal entities that have made voluntary payments into the Fund to Support Fight Against Coronavirus established under a decree of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev dated 19 March 2020 to take preventive steps and strengthen measures to combat coronavirus in our country.

Of course, this is a continuation of the traditions of charity inherent in the Azerbaijani people and, at the same time, an indicator of the unity and solidarity of our people. The fact that you are not indifferent to the problem our country is facing and have joined the call of President Ilham Aliyev is a step that deserves very high praise. This indicates the presence of a sense of mercy and compassion in modern Azerbaijani society.

In the name of protecting the health of the citizens of Azerbaijan, I also join this initiative and, as First Vice President of Azerbaijan, donate my annual salary into the Fund to Support Fight Against Coronavirus.

Once again, I express my gratitude to everyone who has made voluntary payments into the Fund to Support Fight Against Coronavirus and call on all our compatriots to demonstrate solidarity and civic responsibility and rigorously comply with the recommendations and requirements of the Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers.
