President Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation led by Foreign Minister of Sudan Ali Ahmed Karti.

Foreign Minister of Sudan Ali Ahmed Karti conveyed greetings on behalf of the President of the Republic of Sudan, Omar Hassan Ahmad al-Bashir, to the President of Azerbaijan. He said he was very impressed with the rapid development ongoing in Azerbaijan under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev.

Ali Ahmed Karti expressed his gratitude for Azerbaijan’s support of Sudan in international organizations.

Stressing the importance of continued mutual support of Azerbaijan and Sudan in international organizations, President Ilham Aliyev expressed his confidence that this cooperation would be continued. The President expressed hope that the visit by the Sudanese Foreign Minister to Azerbaijan would serve the expansion of bilateral ties.

President Ilham Aliyev expressed his gratitude for the greetings from President Omar Hassan Ahmed al-Bashir and asked the minister to communicate his greetings to the head of Sudan.
