First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva has made an Instagram post, expressing condolences over the death of People's Artist of Azerbaijan Alibaba Mammadov.
In a post on her official Instagram page, Mehriban Aliyeva said:
“The death of Alibaba Mammadov, a prominent representative of the Azerbaijani mugham art, is a great and irreplaceable loss for our culture and all our people. He was a true people's artist, who was admired by everyone, young and old, regardless of their age. The beautiful songs he composed, along with the mughams he skillfully performed, have enriched our national musical heritage. The blessed and bright memory of Alibaba Mammadov will live forever in the hearts of the Azerbaijani people. May Allah rest his soul in peace!”
