Ilham Aliyev received the European Union Commissioner for Energy

President Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation led by the European Union Commissioner for Energy, Gunther Oettinger.

The European Union Commissioner for Energy, Gunther Oettinger, conveyed greetings on behalf of President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso to the President of Azerbaijan.

Recalling a visit to Azerbaijan by President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy, President Ilham Aliyev expressed his satisfaction with the development of relations between Azerbaijan and the European Union at various levels.

The sides exchanged views on the energy cooperation between Azerbaijan and the European Union, the “South” corridor and prospects for a further enhancement of the relations between Azerbaijan and the European Union.

President Ilham Aliyev thanked the EU energy commissioner for the greetings from Jose Manuel Barroso and asked him to communicate his greetings to the President of the European Commission.
