From Tarlan Hajizadeh and others, Sumgayit, Azerbaijan

Dear Mr. President!

The issue that has worried our people and affected our national interests for many years has been resolved. The power of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the personal authority of its President have played an important part in the resolution of many complex issues, including the extradition and pardoning of our officer Ramil Safarov who was sentenced to life imprisonment in Hungary.

This event is a vivid example of your hardness, strong will and patriotism.

Mr. President, we are proud of you. We are very proud to be Azerbaijanis. When you took an oath of the President, you said that you would be the President for every Azerbaijani. We see the sincerity of that statement in everything you do. We know that your heart beats with the hearts of all our people. Our people will always remember your efforts to recover the body of National Hero Mubariz Ibrahimov. You are a strong support and hope for the glorious sons of Azerbaijan. Every soldier sees the Commander-in-Chief’s infinite love for the brave officers and soldiers, your care about them. This shows that Azerbaijan, a country at war, is determined to win. This political, diplomatic and psychological victory is crucial to the great victory!

Mr. President! The people support you in this courageous decision – the extradition and pardoning of Ramil Safarov who defended the integrity of the state attribute of Azerbaijan in a foreign country. The people who have proclaimed “Heydar means the people, the people means Heydar”, address these words to you. Of course, all this has caused hysteria in Armenia. Our enemy can’t stand unity between the President and the people of Azerbaijan.

Mr. President, I bow to your love for the country and your patriotism, and express my gratitude!
