From Bakhtiyar Sadikhov, Baku, Azerbaijan

Your Excellency Mr. President!

The extradition of Ramil Safarov from Hungary to Azerbaijan and his immediate pardon by you have delighted all our people, including the team of the official state newspaper “Azerbaijan”. Over the course of nine years we have been witnessing the implementation of your statement “I will be President of every citizen of Azerbaijan”. The steps you have taken in connection with Ramil Safarov’s case not only demonstrate that you are a guarantor of the rights and interests of all the citizens of Azerbaijan regardless of where they live. They also show your humanism, benevolence and the fact that you are a guarantor of the rights of 60 million Azerbaijanis. You, as President and Commander-in-Chief, have defended our citizen and officer Ramil Safarov.

Dear Mr. President!

The fact that Ramil Safarov is now at home and free is your victory. It is also the victory of the President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Mehriban Aliyeva, who took personal charge in the past eight years for the fate of our officer and organized a campaign of his moral and legal support. The extradition and the release of the citizen of Azerbaijan, who was sentenced to life imprisonment and was under the direct control of the Armenian lobby, could have been accomplished only by such a decisive and principled political figure enjoying great international authority as you – the role model for all Azerbaijani men. Thanks to your ideological and information moves the Armenian lobby suffered a major blow. Your step also represents a convincing victory over global anti-Azerbaijan forces. We believe that our soldiers and officers following in the footsteps of Mubariz Ibrahimov and Ramil Safarov will achieve new victories in the martial fields at the first call of the Commander-in-Chief. They will report to you, our chief commander, on the victory in Karabakh!

We thank you again and wish you every success in your responsible and glorious mission.

Sincerely,

Bakhtiyar Sadikhov

Editor-in-Chief of newspaper “Azerbaijan”, MP
