President Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation led by the chairman of the subcommittee on Reference and Research on the Foreign Relations Committee of the US House of Representatives, Dane Rohrabacher. It includes Republican Congressman from Tennessee Marsha Blackburn, Republican Congressman from Texas Ted Poe, Republican Congressman from Colorado Doug Lambourne and the head of the office of the chairman of the subcommittee, Paul Berkowitz.
The President stressed that bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and the United States in various fields are at a high level. President Aliyev spoke about Azerbaijan’s economic success in recent years. Appreciating the visit by a delegation led by the chairman of the subcommittee on Reference and Research on the Foreign Relations Committee of the US House of Representatives, Dane Rohrabacher, which also includes Republican Congressman from Tennessee Marsha Blackburn, Republican Congressman from Texas Ted Poe, Republican Congressman from Colorado Doug Lambourne and the head of the office of the chairman of the subcommittee, Paul Berkowitz, the President said the visit was a good opportunity to exchange views on further development of bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields.
The chairman of the subcommittee on Reference and Research on the Foreign Relations Committee of the US House of Representatives, Dane Rohrabacher, said that this was his second visit to Azerbaijan. He said he was witnessing extensive development in the country over the past period.
The sides noted the importance of cooperation between the legislative bodies in the expansion of bilateral relations and exchanged views on bilateral relations, regional and energy cooperation, and issues related to other areas of cooperation.
