Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijanon the establishment of the Organizing Committee for the holding of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, the 19th session of the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol, and the 6th session of the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Paris Agreement

Guided by Clause 32 of Article 109 of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and with the aim of ensuring the organization and holding of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, the 19th session of the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol, and the 6th session of the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Paris Agreement, I hereby order:

1. An Organizing Committee shall be established with the following composition for the holding of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, the 19th session of the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol, and the 6th session of the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Paris Agreement in the city of Baku in 2024:

2. The Organizing Committee established by section 1 of this Order shall:

2.1. Prepare and implement an Action Plan related to the organization and holding of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, the 19th session of the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol, and the 6th session of the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Paris Agreement;

2.2. Take measures for the establishment of an operating company.

3. The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan shall ensure the financing for the implementation of the Action Plan stipulated in Clause 2.1 of this Order and take measures to resolve other necessary issues.
