Ilham Aliyev received the newly-appointed UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan

President Ilham Aliyev has received the newly-appointed UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan, Antonius Broek. 

The newly-appointed UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan, Antonius Broek, presented his letter of credentials to the head of state. Touching upon Azerbaijan’s broad activities in the UN Security Council under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, Antonius Broek expressed his gratitude to the President for the successful cooperation between his organization and Azerbaijan.

Noting that the active cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United Nations was continuing successfully, President Ilham Aliyev said these relations expanded further after Azerbaijan had become a member of the UN Security Council.

He said Azerbaijan was making a contribution to international security and cooperation. Stressing that the relations between Azerbaijan and the United Nations have a long history, President Ilham Aliyev expressed his confidence of a further development of relations during Antonius Broek’s mission in Azerbaijan.
