Ilham Aliyev received a delegation led by the Deputy Chairperson of the Federation Council of the Russian Federal Assembly and co-chair of the Azerbaijani-Russian inter-parliamentary commission

President Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation led by the Deputy Chairperson of the Federation Council of the Russian Federal Assembly and co-chair of the Azerbaijani-Russian inter-parliamentary commission, Svetlana Orlova.

Noting that bilateral relations between the two countries in all areas were successfully developing, the President stressed the role of inter-parliamentary relations in strengthening these ties. President Ilham Aliyev emphasized the importance of an exchange of experience for a further expansion of cooperation.

Deputy Chairperson of the Federation Council of the Russian Federal Assembly Svetlana Orlova informed the head of our state of the activities of the Azerbaijani-Russian inter-parliamentary commission. Stressing that she has seen tremendous progress in Azerbaijan since her last visit, Svetlana Orlova noted that this development had made a great impression on the delegation.

The sides exchanged views on matters of mutual interest relating to a further expansion of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Russia in various fields.
