Ilham Aliyev received a delegation led by the Ukrainian Defense Minister

President Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation led by Ukrainian Defense Minister Dmytro Salamatin.

Ukrainian Defense Minister Dmytro Salamatin conveyed greetings and congratulations on the occasion of the Constitution Day on behalf of President Viktor Yanukovych. Noting that the President of Ukraine always keeps the relations with Azerbaijan in focus, the minister said his country was interested in continuously developing bilateral relations with our republic.

Stressing that Azerbaijani-Ukrainian bilateral relations have a long history, President Aliyev said our country was attaching special importance to their further expansion. The President highlighted the importance of reciprocal high-level visits to the strengthening of bilateral ties. He expressed his hope that the visit of Ukrainian Defense Minister Dmytro Salamatin to Azerbaijan would contribute to broadening the cooperation between relevant agencies of the two countries.

The President expressed his gratitude for the greetings from President Viktor Yanukovych and asked the minister to communicate his greetings to the head of the Ukrainian state.
