President Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation led by the Head of the Chechen Republic of the Russian Federation, Ramzan Kadyrov.
The President expressed his confidence that the strengthening of cooperation between our country and constituent parts of the Russian Federation would further bolster bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation. President Aliyev described the second visit of the Head of the Chechen Republic of the Russian Federation, Ramzan Kadyrov, to Azerbaijan as a good indicator of friendly and fraternal relations existing between the two nations. The President noted the importance of expanding cooperation in economic, investment, humanitarian and other fields.
Noting that stability has been established and large-scale projects are implemented in Chechnya, the President congratulated Ramzan Kadyrov on the successes achieved.
The Head of the Chechen Republic of the Russian Federation, Ramzan Kadyrov, said the Chechen people consider the Azerbaijanis a friendly and fraternal nation. He stressed that the relations between the two nations have long historical roots. Ramzan Kadyrov said his country was keenly watching the rapid development ongoing in Azerbaijan and respectfully remembered the concern that nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev showed for the Chechen people in the most difficult times.
