Ilham Aliyev visited Victory Park

On September 27, Remembrance Day, President Ilham Aliyev of the Republic of Azerbaijan visited Victory Park, which is currently under construction in Baku.

The President laid flowers at the memorial stone at the park's entrance.

It has been four years since the start of the Patriotic War, a chapter in Azerbaijan's military history written in golden letters. Azerbaijan continues to honor the bravery of its sons and daughters, while remembering the martyrs who gave their lives for the country’s territorial integrity and the freedom of Karabakh. The construction of Victory Park on 8 November Avenue in Baku stands as a testament to this respect and remembrance.

In a decree signed on December 3, 2020, President Ilham Aliyev ordered the creation of the Patriotic War Memorial Complex and the Victory Museum in Baku. The Victory Museum, with two entry points in the park, will span 9,200 square meters and feature a wall displaying the names of soldiers and officers who sacrificed their lives for Azerbaijan's territorial integrity.
