President Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation led by the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign and Domestic Commerce and Telecommunications of the Republic of Serbia, co-chairman of the Serbian-Azerbaijani Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation, Rasim Ljajic.
Stressing that the cooperation between Azerbaijan and Serbia was successfully developing in various areas, the President expressed his hope that the partnership between the two countries would be continued. President Ilham Aliyev noted the importance of a regular meeting of the Azerbaijani-Serbian intergovernmental commission to the further strengthening of ties. The President stressed the need for a further expansion of cooperation within the framework of international and regional organizations.
The Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign and Domestic Commerce and Telecommunications of the Republic of Serbia, co-chairman of the Serbian-Azerbaijani Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation, Rasim Ljajic, conveyed greetings on behalf of President of the Republic of Serbia Tomislav Nikolic. Stressing that political relations between the two countries were developing successfully, the guest noted the importance of mutual high-level visits to bilateral cooperation. Expressing appreciation for the various projects undertaken by Azerbaijan in Serbia, Rasim Ljajic emphasized their contribution to the strengthening cooperation.
The head of state expressed his gratitude for the greetings from President Tomislav Nikolic and asked the Deputy Prime Minister to communicate his greetings to the Serbian President.
