President Ilham Aliyev has accepted the credentials from the newly-appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and
Plenipotentiary of Côte d'Ivoire to Azerbaijan, Bernard Tanoh-Boutchoué.
The Ambassador reviewed the guard of honor.
Bernard Tanoh-Boutchoué presented his credentials to President Ilham Aliyev.
Then the President had a discussion with the Ambassador.
Ambassador Bernard Tanoh-Boutchoué conveyed greetings on behalf of the President of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, Alassane Ouattara, to the President of Azerbaijan. The diplomat said that the leadership of his country was interested in developing relations with Azerbaijan. Stressing that the cooperation between the two countries has great potential, the Ambassador said he would make every effort to develop these relations.
The President stressed the need for exploring the possibilities of cooperation for the development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire. President Ilham Aliyev wished the Ambassador every success in his diplomatic mission in Azerbaijan.
The head of state expressed his gratitude for the greetings from President Alassane Ouattara and asked the diplomat to communicate his greetings to the President of the Côte d'Ivoire.
