Ilham Aliyev received a delegation led by Foreign Minister of Norway

President Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation led by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Norway Espen Barth Eide.
Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide conveyed greetings on behalf of Haakon, the Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Norway.

The minister described the long work of the Norwegian company Statoil in Baku as a good example of cooperation. Noting that bilateral relations have a solid foundation, the minister emphasized the presence of extensive opportunities for a further development of partnership relations between Norway and Azerbaijan.

The head of state recalled with satisfaction his meeting with Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Norway Haakon. President Aliyev stressed the importance of the operation of the first regional office of Norwegian company Statoil in Baku at the initial stage of Azerbaijan's cooperation with international oil companies. President Ilham Aliyev stressed that work on issues of further development of relations between the two countries was successfully ongoing.

The sides expressed satisfaction with the development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and the Kingdom of Norway in various fields, including the energy sector, and noted the presence of good prospects for a further development of cooperation. The head of state expressed his gratitude for the greetings from Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Norway Haakon and asked the minister to communicate his greetings to the Crown Prince.
