President Ilham Aliyev has received the Special Envoy of the President of Uruguay and State Secretary of the Presidential Administration, Diego Canepa.
The Special Envoy and the Secretary of State of the Presidential Administration, Diego Canepa, conveyed a message from President of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay Jose Alberto Mujica Cordano to the President of Azerbaijani. Diego Canepa said the President and the Government of Uruguay had asked him to conduct a direct exchange of views on the development of bilateral and multilateral relations with Azerbaijan and on prospects for cooperation. He noted that his country was interested in expanding relations with Azerbaijan in various spheres. The Special Envoy of the President of Uruguay said there were good prospects for cooperation between the two countries. The Uruguayan guest said the process of rapid development in the capital he observed during the visit to Azerbaijan had made a deep impression on him.
The head of state expressed his appreciation for the message from President of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay Jose Alberto Mujica Cordano. President Ilham Aliyev stressed the contribution of mutual visits at various levels to the development of relations. The President expressed hope that the two countries would establish strong partnerships.
