President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu.
Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu said that on every visit to Azerbaijan he was witnessing extensive development of the country. He described the fact that a meeting of senior officials of the Ministries of Labor of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation member-countries is held in Baku with the organizational support of Azerbaijan as a fine example of cooperation. The Secretary-General stressed Azerbaijan's role in the development of cooperation between member states.
Touching upon the rapid development processes under way in Azerbaijan, President Ilham Aliyev pointed to the importance of the increase in investment being made in Baku and other regions of the country in recent years.
The head of state underlined the importance of the progress made in the non-oil sector. President Ilham Aliyev expressed his confidence that the holding of the meeting of senior officials of the Ministries of Labor of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Baku would serve to further enhance the cooperation between member states of the OIC.
The sides expressed their satisfaction with the development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in all the directions, noted the importance of Azerbaijan’s active cooperation with all the OIC structures and exchanged views on a further expansion of cooperation.
