President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Uladzimir Makei.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Uladzimir Makei, said that he had witnessed extensive development of the capital during his visit to Azerbaijan. The Minister said that this visit was a good opportunity to discuss further expansion of relations between the two countries. Stressing that his visit to Baku coincided with the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, the Minister conveyed a congratulatory message and best wishes on behalf of President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on the occasion.

President Ilham Aliyev stressed that bilateral relations between the two countries were developing successfully in all areas, including political, economic and other spheres. The President noted the importance of mutual high-level visits for the strengthening of ties.

President Ilham Aliyev expressed his gratitude for the message of President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko and asked the minister to convey his best wishes to the President of Belarus.
