Ilham Aliyev received the Minister of Internal Affairs of Afghanistan

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received the Minister of Internal Affairs of Afghanistan, Ghulam Mujtaba Patang.

The Minister of Internal Affairs, Ghulam Mujtaba Patang, conveyed greetings on behalf of President of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai to President Ilham Aliyev.

During the meeting the sides noted the high level of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Afghanistan and emphasized that the two countries cooperated effectively in various fields. It was indicated that there were ample opportunities for the development of cooperation between law-enforcement bodies of the two countries. The parties also expressed their confidence that issues related to the expansion of cooperation in this area would be discussed during the visit of Minister Ghulam Mujtaba Patang to Azerbaijan and good results would be achieved.

The head of state expressed his gratitude for the greetings from President Hamid Karzai and asked the minister to convey his own greetings to the President of Afghanistan.
