Ilham Aliyev received a delegation led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Colombia

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Colombia, María Ángela Holguín Cuéllar.

The sides expressed their satisfaction with the development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Colombia and pointed to the presence of good opportunities for the expansion of ties in the political, economic and cultural spheres, international cooperation, etc. During the meeting the parties also noted a mutual interest in developing relations, stressed the importance of reciprocal visits of various levels to the strengthening of cooperation and expressed their confidence that the visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Colombia, María Ángela Holguín Cuéllar, to Azerbaijan would lead to the further expansion of these relations.

The sides also exchanged views on the prospects for the settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
