Ilham Aliyev received the President of the European Olympic Committee and a member of the executive committee of the European Olympic Committee

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received the President of the European Olympic Committee Patrick Hickey and a member of the executive committee of the European Olympic Committee, Spyros Kapralos.

The President of the European Olympic Committee, Patrick Hickey, congratulated the head of state on his reelection as President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. He noted with satisfaction that he had witnessed the process of rapid economic development of our country and extensive work aimed at further expansion of the sports infrastructure.

The meeting stressed the importance of the work carried out in Azerbaijan for the development of different areas of sports. The sides also exchanged views on issues related to the preparation for the inaugural European games due to be held in Baku in 2015.
