Ilham Aliyev received Foreign Minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sven Alkalaj

President Ilham Aliyev received a delegation led by Foreign Minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sven Alkalaj.

The President highlighted the importance of the first visit of Foreign Minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sven Alkalaj, for development of mutual relations, and expressed confidence in success of the visit and the good prospects it would create for further development of relations. Emphasizing the necessity of deepening bilateral relations, the President said Azerbaijan was interested in development of these ties. President Ilham Aliyev said Azerbaijan and Bosnia and Herzegovina are friendly states and good opportunities exist for growth of economic ties between the two states. 

Foreign Minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sven Alkalaj, noted it was his first visit to Azerbaijan and expressed his hope that the visit would contribute to development of bilateral relations. He talked about the necessity of improving relations between Azerbaijan and Bosnia and Herzegovina not only bilaterally, but also in the framework of international organizations, at which both states have membership. Noting that political relations between the two countries were on a good level, the Minister underscored the importance of high-level reciprocal visits for development of bilateral ties.
