President Ilham Aliyev received France`s Secretary of State for Transport Thierry Mariani.
The President highlighted the successful development of Azerbaijan-France relations in various fields, characterizing this relationship as a partnership. President Ilham Aliyev said French companies enjoy successful cooperation with Azerbaijan in various spheres and noted that there are good opportunities for cooperation in the transport sector.
Secretary of State of France Thierry Mariani expressed satisfaction with his yet another visit to Azerbaijan. Having noted that the relations between the two countries had expanded in the recent year, the guest said France was particularly interest in the transport sector of Azerbaijan. Thierry Mariani said he knew Azerbaijan very well and believed that bilateral ties would continue to develop successfully.
The President said Azerbaijan attaches great importance to participation of French companies in improvement of highways, railway transport, as well as the Baku subway network and application of French technologies. President Ilham Aliyev said he was confident that French Secretary of State Thierry Mariani would make a contribution to developing Azerbaijan-France relations in this field.
