I was deeply saddened by the news of the loss of lives and injures as a result of a severe fire on a platform in Gunashli oil field in the Caspian Sea.
At this difficult time, on behalf of the people of the Republic of Moldova and on my own behalf, I extend our deepest condolences to the families of those who died, and hope that those injured will make the swiftest possible recovery.
