President Ilham Aliyev received a delegation led by OSCE Chair-in-office, Foreign Minister of Lithuania, Audronius Azubalis.
Noting that he started his visit to region from Azerbaijan, OSCE Chairman-in-office and Lithuanian Foreign Minister Audronius Azubalis said Azerbaijan played a significant role in the region and this role would further increase. Emphasizing Azerbaijan’s strong economy, the OSCE chairman also mentioned that democratic reforms were underway in the country and it was a topical issue. Audronius Azubalis gave information to the President on the meetings held and discussions conducted.

President Ilham Aliyev noted the importance of openly discussing all the issues related to regional development and the works to be done for the overall development of the country. The President said that successful reforms were being carried out in political, economic and social areas for developing and modernizing the country through establishment of a strong economy and robust political system.

The sides also exchanged views on the current state and prospects for regulation of the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict at the meeting.
