Today Azerbaijan is successfully moving forward on the path of development. As your closest neighbors we are especially happy to see the grandiose positive results your country has achieved.
We are witnessing the wide-scale changes aimed at strengthening the statehood and improving social well-being of your citizens.
Indeed through pursuing an independent policy based on the best interests and good will of its citizens, Azerbaijan, first and foremost, ensures the strengthening of its international standing. Today`s modern multi-confessional state is built on a strong foundation of adherence to ancient national traditions and respect for moral values of all peoples who live together as a family in your friendly country. And this makes your country a model for many others.
Azerbaijan is not merely a strategic partner for Russia. With this brotherly nation we have passed a long heroic way.
I am confident that the friendly relations between our countries will continue to rapidly develop for the good of our peoples and contribute to the strengthening of stability in the Caucasus region.
