President Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation led by European Union Commissioner for Energy Gunther Oettinger.
European Union Commissioner for Energy Gunther Oettinger passed on to the Azerbaijani President greetings from European Commission Chairman Jose Manuel Barroso.
The sides pointed to the importance of the 18th international exhibition “Caspian oil and gas: refining and petrochemicals” being held in Azerbaijan and expressed confidence that it would contribute to a further expansion of international energy cooperation.
President Ilham Aliyev and European Union Commissioner for Energy Gunther Oettinger expressed their satisfaction with the successful development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the European Union in various spheres, namely the energy sector, and exchanged views on a further expansion and development of this cooperation.
The head of state expressed his gratitude for the greetings from European Commission Chairman Jose Manuel Barroso and passed on his greetings to the chairman of the European Commission.
Guided by Clause 5 of Article 109 of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, I hereby order:
To appoint Sahil Rafig oglu Babayev as Minister of Finance of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
