President Ilham Aliyev has received the head of bp-Azerbaijan, Rashid Javanshir.
After pointing to the many years of successful cooperation between bp and Azerbaijan, President Ilham Aliyev stressed that this cooperation was based on the principle of mutual confidence. The head of state said the projects implemented jointly with bp are known internationally. He expressed his confidence that this cooperation would be successfully continued in the future.
After congratulating Rashid Javanshir on his jubilee, President Ilham Aliyev said he was being decorated with one of Azerbaijan’s highest state awards, the Shohrat Order, for his contribution to the development of Azerbaijan’s oil industry and handed the order to the hero of the day.
Speaking about the great importance of the projects bp is implementing in Azerbaijan, Rashid Javanshir stressed that the cooperation between his company and Azerbaijan was of strategic nature. He gave a high assessment to President Ilham Aliyev’s support for bp’s operations in Azerbaijan. R. Javanshir thanked the head of state for decorating him with a high award of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Guided by Clause 5 of Article 109 of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, I hereby order:
To appoint Sahil Rafig oglu Babayev as Minister of Finance of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
