President Ilham Aliyev has received Vatican's apostolic nuncio to Azerbaijan Claudio Gugerotti at the end of his mission.
Nuncio Claudio Gugerotti indicated that his meeting with nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev 10 years ago, when he was submitting his credentials, had produced a profound impression on him. He added that while working in the country he had been witnessing rapid development processes in Azerbaijan.
The head of state said the relations between Azerbaijan and the Vatican were developing successfully. After pointing to the contribution Vatican's apostolic nuncio to Azerbaijan Claudio Gugerotti has made to the development of these relations, President Ilham Aliyev wished him further success.
Guided by Clause 5 of Article 109 of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, I hereby order:
To appoint Sahil Rafig oglu Babayev as Minister of Finance of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
