President Ilham Aliyev has received the former President of the Republic of Estonia, Arnold Ruutel.
Arnold Ruutel said there has been a good relationship between Azerbaijan and Estonia for a long period of time. Touching upon the importance of reciprocal visits, the guest pointed to their significance in terms of further development of relations between the two countries. He said the international event dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the restoration of state independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan has been organized at a high level. Arnold Ruutel also pointed to the importance of participation of delegations from various countries, as well as the European Parliament, from the standpoint of witnessing Azerbaijan’s achievements over the past 20 years. The Estonian guest described Azerbaijan’s successes as a good example for many countries.
The President of Azerbaijan expressed his satisfaction with the participation of the former President of Estonia, Arnold Ruutel, in the international event marking the 20th anniversary of the restoration of Azerbaijan’s state independence.
President Aliyev said this event serves to enhance inter-parliamentary relations. Saying that the relations between Azerbaijan and Estonia are at a good level, President Ilham Aliyev recalled his visit to Estonia, adding that it was successful.
Guided by Clause 5 of Article 109 of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, I hereby order:
To appoint Sahil Rafig oglu Babayev as Minister of Finance of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
