After the welcoming ceremony, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and his wife Mehriban Aliyeva held a meeting with Federal President of the Republic of Austria Heinz Fischer and his wife Margit Fischer.
Then Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Federal President of the Republic of Austria Heinz Fischer held a face-to-face meeting.
The sides expressed satisfaction with the successful development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Austria in various spheres, including political, economic and others, and pointed to a great potential for a further expansion of relations.
It was indicated that the visit by Federal President of the Republic of Austria Heinz Fischer to Azerbaijan represents great importance from the standpoint of a further strengthening of relations between the two countries.
During the meeting the Presidents exchanged views on bilateral, regional and international matters.
Guided by Clause 5 of Article 109 of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, I hereby order:
To appoint Sahil Rafig oglu Babayev as Minister of Finance of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
