Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Integration of the Republic of Ecuador, Ricardo Armando Patiño Aroca.
Indicating that a ministerial delegation from Ecuador comes to Azerbaijan for the first time, President Ilham Aliyev expressed hope that the number of such visits would grow and that this visit would lay the foundation for an active relationship between the two countries. The head of state also expressed confidence that the visit of the Ecuadorian minister to Azerbaijan would be successful.
Minister Ricardo Armando Patiño Aroca conveyed greetings on behalf of Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa to the President of Azerbaijan. Ricardo Armando Patiño Aroca expressed his satisfaction with the first visit to Azerbaijan. Stressing that his country is interested in cooperating with Azerbaijan, the minister said the visit would open up extensive opportunities for identifying the potential for cooperation between Azerbaijan and Ecuador in various spheres.
President Ilham Aliyev thanked the minister for the greetings from Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa and asked him to communicate his greetings to the President of Ecuador.
Guided by Clause 5 of Article 109 of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, I hereby order:
To appoint Sahil Rafig oglu Babayev as Minister of Finance of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
