President Ilham Aliyev received the leadership of the European Broadcasting Union managing board headed by EBU President Jean-Paul Philippot.
EBU President Jean-Paul Phillippot said the participants of the 64th session of the EBU General Assembly witnessed the ongoing development processes in Azerbaijan during their visit to Baku, adding that they were very impressed by the beauty of Baku and reconstruction works carried out in the city, while they were touring the various rich cultural hallmarks of the city.
Having stressed the importance of Baku’s hosting of the 64th session of the EBU General Assembly, the President noted that the event had provided good opportunities for the delegates, coming from various countries, to witness the improvements achieved in Azerbaijan. President Ilham Aliyev stated that Azerbaijan had achieved great success in all fields and underlined the special attention given to the cultural field.
The importance of the 64th session of the EBU General Assembly for expansion of international TV and radio broadcasting cooperation was underscored.
