President Ilham Aliyev has received the minister of energy, environment, communication and transport of the Swiss Confederation, Doris Leuthard.
The President of Azerbaijan said the visit by the Swiss minister of energy, environment, communication and transport would create good opportunities for the discussion of ways to further develop bilateral relations.
The Swiss minister expressed her satisfaction with visiting Azerbaijan for the first time. Indicating that she was aware of the major investments being made in infrastructure projects in Azerbaijan, the minister said it was the key factor for economic development.
The sides also exchanged views on prospects for cooperation in economic, transport, energy and other spheres between Azerbaijan and the Swiss Confederation.
Guided by Clause 5 of Article 109 of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, I hereby order:
To appoint Sahil Rafig oglu Babayev as Minister of Finance of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
