President Ilham Aliyev has received Assistant Secretary General of NATO Huseyin Dirioz.
Expressing his satisfaction with the visit to Azerbaijan, Huseyin Dirioz informed the President of the meetings he is expected to hold in Azerbaijan. Pointing to the importance of the international workshop on “Border security and fight against drug trafficking” under way in Baku, Huseyin Dirioz said it would contribute to the overall security in Euro-Atlantic space. He said cooperation between NATO and Azerbaijan covered a broad range of issues.
The President of Azerbaijan said cooperation between Azerbaijan and NATO was successfully developing in various areas. Stressing the significance of border security issues for the country, President Aliyev confirmed the importance of the Baku international workshop on “Border security and fight against drug trafficking”.
Guided by Clause 5 of Article 109 of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, I hereby order:
To appoint Sahil Rafig oglu Babayev as Minister of Finance of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
