President Ilham Aliyev has accepted the credentials of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to Azerbaijan, Mr. Fam Suan Shon.
Ambassador Fam Suan Shon reviewed the guard of honor.
Fam Suan Shon presented his credentials to President Ilham Aliyev.
Then the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan had a discussion with the Ambassador.
Indicating that the friendship and cooperation between Azerbaijan and Vietnam have a long history, the President of Azerbaijan said these relations were now entering a new phase. President Aliyev said Azerbaijan was interested in further developing the relations with Vietnam.
Ambassador Fam Suan Shon conveyed greetings on behalf of the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Truong Tan Sang. The Vietnamese diplomat said his country had great respect for the memory of Azerbaijan’s nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev, adding that he was pleased to meet with the great leader while working in Turkey as Ambassador. He said he would spare no effort to develop the relations between Azerbaijan and Vietnam.
The head of state expressed his gratitude for the greetings from the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Truong Tan Sang, and asked the Ambassador to communicate his greetings to the President of Vietnam.
Guided by Clause 5 of Article 109 of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, I hereby order:
To appoint Sahil Rafig oglu Babayev as Minister of Finance of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
