President Ilham Aliyev has received US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Matthew Bryza at the end of his diplomatic mission in the country.
Ambassador Matthew Bryza conveyed his congratulations to the head of state on the occasion of his 50th birthday anniversary. He described the congratulatory message of US President Barack Obama to President Ilham Aliyev over his 50th anniversary as an indicator of the importance the United States attaches to partnership with Azerbaijan. Noting that during his diplomatic mission in Azerbaijan he had visited various regions, Bryza said he had seen beautiful nature, rich culture and a diversity of religious and spiritual values.
President Ilham Aliyev expressed his satisfaction with the development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and the United States. Praising the diplomatic activities of Matthew Bryza in our country, the President thanked the Ambassador for his contribution to the development of relations between Azerbaijan and the United States and wished him success in his future endeavors.
Guided by Clause 5 of Article 109 of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, I hereby order:
To appoint Sahil Rafig oglu Babayev as Minister of Finance of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
