President Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation led by the Romanian Presidential Security Advisor, Iulian Fota.

The President said that bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Romania were developing successfully.

President Aliyev was pleased to recall his visit to Romania and the visit by Romanian President Traian Basescu to Azerbaijan.

Noting that Azerbaijan and Romania have established a mutually beneficial cooperation, the President said the documents on the development of ties signed by the two countries reflect the strategic importance of their partnership. President Ilham Aliyev emphasized the importance of cooperation in various areas, including economic and political spheres, security and NATO-Azerbaijan relations.

Iulian Fota conveyed greetings and best wishes on behalf of Romanian President Traian Basescu. Recalling his visit to Azerbaijan together with the Romanian President last year, he said he was witnessing rapid development in the country over this period.

The President thanked the visitor for the greetings from Romanian President Traian Basescu and asked him to communicate his greetings to the President of Romania.
