President Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation of the European Parliament’s Assembly Bureau led by the co-chairman of the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly, Kristian Vigenin.
The President expressed his satisfaction with the visit by a large delegation of the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly to Azerbaijan. President Aliyev described the fact that a first Euronest session is being held outside Europe in Baku as a good indicator of partnership. Noting that Azerbaijan was interested in cooperating with the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly, the President expressed his confidence that the discussions carried out during the visit to Azerbaijan would be fruitful for enhancing cooperation.
The co-chairman of the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly, Kristian Vigenin, pointed to the importance of a visit to Azerbaijan by a large delegation of the organization he represents. He introduced members of the delegation to President Ilham Aliyev.
Kristian Vigenin said the visit by a Euronest delegation to Azerbaijan was an indicator of the importance it attaches to cooperation with Azerbaijan.
The sides expressed confidence that the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly would contribute to a further enhancement of cooperation between Azerbaijan on the one hand and the European Parliament and the European Union on the other.
