Ilham Aliyev received a delegation led by the chairman of the European and Eurasian sub-committee of the Committee for External Relations of the US House of Representatives

President Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation led by the chairman of the European and Eurasian sub-committee of the Committee for External Relations of the House of Representatives, Dan Burton.

Sub-committee chairman Dan Burton praised the rapid development ongoing in the Azerbaijani capital city. Stressing that Azerbaijan is an important country of the region, Dan Burton said the United States attaches great importance to enhancing cooperation with our country.

President Ilham Aliyev stressed the high level of bilateral relations between the two countries and noted the importance of cooperation between the legislative bodies to further strengthen the ties.

The sides exchanged views on issues relating to energy, security, successful participation of Azerbaijani peacekeepers in international peacekeeping missions and other areas of cooperation, and expressed their confidence of a further expansion of ties.
