We, the veterans of the Karabakh war, have been very delighted by the news on the extradition of Azerbaijani army officer Ramil Safarov, who had defended the honor of the sacred flag, and your order for his pardon. We had always hoped for a return of our officer to his homeland and his release. And finally, as a result of your efforts as head of state and Commander-in-Chief, our officer has returned to Azerbaijan and been pardoned you. This humane step inspires us all and
enhances the sense of patriotism. We express our deep gratitude and appreciation to you for the care and attention being paid to a citizen and officer of Azerbaijan. We regard it as invaluable service to the Azerbaijani people.
