Ilham Aliyev received the delegation led by Chairman of the Energy Studies Group of the Senate of France

President Ilham Aliyev received the delegation of senators Delphine Bataille, Christophe-Andre Frassa and Jean-Claude Lenoir led by Chairman of the Energy Studies Group of the Senate of France Ladislas Poniatowski.

The head of state expressed his hope that the visit of the senators representing Energy Studies Group of the Senate of France to Azerbaijan will serve to the development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and France. President Ilham Aliyev remembered his recent visit to France and noted that his meeting with President of France François Hollande, as well as other meetings held during the visit, reaffirmed the strategic nature of relations between Azerbaijan and France. The head of state also noted the importance of inter-parliamentary cooperation of our states and expressed his confidence in the contribution of the visit of the French Senate Energy Studies Group members to Azerbaijan to this cooperation.

Ladislas Poniatowski emphasized the representation of all the members of the Energy Studies Group of the Senate of France in the delegation and expressed their interest in the further extension of relations between our countries in all the spheres and particularly energy. Ladislas Poniatowski stressed the fact that President Ilham Aliyev was one of the first presidents who met with President of France François Hollande.
